The intense bombardment of the Gaza Strip which started on 8th July 2014 has killed over 2,100 Palestinians and injured over 10,744 people, many of whom are women and children.
As Gaza continued to be pounded Gaza with air strikes - with thousands bombings being carried out throughout the war – Health Officials expressed concern about the capacity of the territory's hospitals to attend to the many injured.
Denied freedom of movement, 1.7 million Palestinians are stuck in limbo, unable to enter or leave the Gaza Strip. As a result, they lack access to adequate medical care, and the ability to work and pursue education abroad.
Muslim Aid Australia is working on the ground to distribute essential aid to those affected. Further plans to support rehabilitation and reconstruction programmes are underway.
