TAX INFORMATION

“Muslim Aid Australia Incorporated Overseas Aid Fund”
Endorsed to offer TAX DEDUCTIBILITY

The Australian Government has approved “Muslim Aid Australia Incorporated Overseas Aid Fund” to offer tax deductibility donations it receives for the purpose of ‘relief aid’ in certified developing countries.

Muslim Aid Australia is the first and only Australian Muslim overseas aid organization to be granted the DEDUCTIBLE GIFT RECIPIENT status (DGR) after a rigorous process of proactive restructuring and compliance. Our Islamic values of accountability and transparency combined with ACFID* Code of Conduct compliance (recognized as world’s best practice) further enhances our capacity to effectively deliver aid on behalf of our generous donors.

The executive committee and staff of Muslim Aid Australia would like to extend their gratitude to the Australian Government for granting admission to the Overseas Aid Gift Deduction Scheme. Our thanks to the personnel in AusAid, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Australian Taxation Office for their guidance and assistance.

Tax deductibility would be of certain interest to corporate donors who have been looking forward to this opportunity for years. Your generous donations will enable MAA to alleviate the suffering of the poor and the needy in developing countries around the world. Both corporate and individual donors can now claim income tax deductions from their contributions to this fund. To make a tax deductible donation please visit our donation section by clicking here.
