Access to food is a basic human requirement for survival. The eradication of hunger is a millennium development goal that countries across the world are still struggling to achieve. Malnutrition and other diseases are prominent in the developing world, especially among children.
With the cost of food rising in South Africa, families living in townships are finding it very difficult to provide for themselves. Many poor and destitute families reside in these areas. Sadly, most of the families residing here are extremely poor and undernourished.
HOW WE’RE HELPING
Muslim Aid Australia in partnership with the Al-Imdaad Foundation is assisting impoverished families with a wholesome family food hamper on a monthly basis. This somewhat lightens the burden upon these poor families. These family hampers consist of all the basic necessities that can feed a family of 6 persons per month.
THROUGH YOUR DONATIONS, WE CAN CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THESE FAMILIES IN DESPERATE NEED.
